(HPP) is a run-of-river hydroelectric power plant established on the Yeşilırmak River in the borders of the central district of Amasya city. The power plant with an installed capacity of 33.4 MWm / 32.5 MWe, makes a significant contribution to the regional energy supply, producing an average of 52,056,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity annually. 

 

The facility, which was entered into service in December 2012, operates with a net head of 34.80 meters and a design flow rate of 106.7 m³/s, generating energy through four Francis-type turbines (ZOEC). The electrical energy generated at Midilli HEPP is utilizied under free market conditions and transmitted to the national grid via a connection through the Yenidere Transformer Substation.

 

The power plant operates under the production license number EU/996-4/751, dated December 7, 2006.
