- Green Energy Certificate
The I-REC (International Renewable Energy Certificate) is an internationally recognized certification system that verifies electricity is generated from renewable sources such as wind, solar, or hydro. Developed by the International REC Standard Organization, it ensures transparency and credibility in tracking the environmental benefits of green energy worldwide.
Rama Energy supplies electricity backed by I-REC certificates, confirming that the energy we provide comes from clean, renewable sources. This certification helps businesses reduce their carbon footprint and confidently demonstrate their sustainability efforts on a global scale.
What is the Gold Standard Carbon Reduction Certificate?
The Gold Standard Carbon Reduction Certificate is an internationally recognized environmental certification that verifies the reduction or offsetting of greenhouse gas emissions through renewable energy use. Each certificate confirms that greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to one metric ton of carbon dioxide (1 ton CO₂) have been prevented.
This certification follows rigorous rules and methodologies set by the Gold Standard organization. It is based on Voluntary Emission Reduction Projects (VER), which are independently audited and approved under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
Rama Energy helps its customers not only use renewable energy but also support them to achieve their environmental sustainability goals by offering these certificates. This enables businesses to reduce their carbon footprint and fulfill their corporate social responsibilities.
What is a VCS (Verified Carbon Standard) Carbon Reduction Certificate?
The VCS (Verified Carbon Standard) is a globally recognized carbon offset certification that verifies reductions in greenhouse gas emissions achieved through renewable energy use. In accordance with this system, each certificate represents the offset of emissions equal to one metric ton of carbon dioxide (1 ton CO₂).
The VCS developed in collaboration with the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA) and the World Bank, and it is widely accepted in voluntary carbon markets worldwide. The certification process is conducted by independent verifiers and adheres to strict standards of transparency, traceability, and environmental integrity.
Rama Energy provides renewable energy backed by VCS-certified carbon reduction certificates and also contributes customers to offset their carbon footprint and meet their sustainability targets.
What is a YEK-G Certificate?
YEK-G (Renewable Energy Resource Guarantee) is a nationally recognized certification system in Turkey that confirms electricity is generated from renewable sources and meet the consumers. Each certificate represents 1 MWh of green energy and ensures transparency by allowing consumers to trace the origin of their electricity.
The system is operated by EPİAŞ (Energy Markets Operation Inc.) and was developed to promote clean energy use, support environmental responsibility, and increase trust in renewable energy markets. All transactions are securely managed through a digital platform between registered market participants.
At Rama Energy, we supply electricity backed by YEK-G certificates and we are helping our customers meet their sustainability targets, reduce their carbon footprint, and support their commitment to a greener future.
